Strapping machines are essential for securing packages, cartons, and pallet loads. Choosing the right strapping machine depends on your application, volume, and strap material requirements.
1. Strap Material
PP (Polypropylene) strap is economical and suitable for lighter loads up to 50kg. PET (Polyester) strap offers higher strength and is ideal for heavy loads and export packaging. Steel strap is used for the heaviest industrial applications requiring maximum security.
2. Machine Type
Handheld strapping tools are portable and versatile, ideal for low to medium volume operations and irregular shaped packages. Semi-automatic strapping machines require manual positioning but automate tensioning, sealing, and cutting. Fully automatic strapping machines integrate into production lines for high-speed, hands-free operation.
3. Tension Requirements
Consider the tension force needed for your products. Lighter cartons need less tension, while heavy loads require higher tension settings. Most Weimu machines offer adjustable tension settings from 400N up to 5500N for different applications.
4. Production Speed
For low-volume operations (under 100 straps/day), handheld tools are sufficient. Medium volume (100-500 straps/day) benefits from semi-automatic machines. High-volume operations (500+ straps/day) require fully automatic solutions with speeds up to 2.0 seconds per strap.
5. Arch Size
The arch (frame) size determines the maximum package dimensions. Standard sizes range from 600mm wide to 1250mm wide. Choose an arch that accommodates your largest package size with some clearance.
